Special Olympics Flagler County would like to congratulate our athletes of the month Lucas Mann and Kim Scott. This is Lucas’s second year participating in our aquatics program, Lucas who swims with one arm in his unique way won first place in the 25m freestyle at the 2011 County Aquatics competition at Daytona State College. Kim Scott has also shown some spunk going from a flotation belt to coming in first place in her 25m freestyle. 
Kim has been a long time Special Olympics athlete and this has been a great accomplishment for her. Way to go!!! Keep up the good work.
The 2011 County Aquatics Competition was held at Daytona Beach College Campus where our athletes competed along with Volusia County. We had a great day, everyone, athletes, coaches, and volunteers enjoyed themselves immensely. Here are the results of our participants:
